Stalewise: privacy policy
Last updated: October 19, 2026
Stalewise ("the app") watches whether each supplier's stock in your Shopify store keeps updating, and emails you when one goes quiet. This policy explains what the app reads, what it keeps, and how to have it deleted.
What the app reads
- Product vendor names, inventory item IDs and the time each inventory level was last updated (scopes: read_products, read_inventory, read_locations).
- Your store's name and contact email, used as the default alert address.
The app does not read orders, customers, payment details or any personal data about your customers.
What the app keeps
- Per supplier: number of items, the time of recent stock updates, and whether an alert is open.
- A map from inventory item ID to vendor name, so stock-update notifications can be matched to a supplier.
- Your alert settings (email address, thresholds, watched suppliers) and the access token Shopify issues to the app.
Data is stored with our hosting provider (Netlify) in the United States. We do not sell or share it, and we use it only to run the app.
Emails
Alert, reminder and all-clear emails go only to the address in your settings.
Deletion
When you uninstall the app, alerts stop immediately. Shopify then sends a shop data erasure request 48 hours later, and the app deletes everything it kept for your store. You can also ask for deletion at any time by email.
